Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Local Tattoo Shops at local-tattooshops.com (the "Site"), operated by ColabContent LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Massachusetts limited liability company. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of terms

Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. We may update these Terms from time to time (see Section 13). Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of the service

Local Tattoo Shops provides:

  • A free national directory of tattoo studios, compiled from publicly available sources.
  • A free AI-powered MatchMarker tool that suggests studios based on style preferences, reference images, and location.
  • Optional paid listing upgrades (Verified, Featured, Flagship tiers) for studio owners.
  • Website build and design services for tattoo studios, offered separately by inquiry.

3. MatchMarker AI disclaimer

The MatchMarker tool uses artificial intelligence to suggest tattoo studios and styles that may match your preferences. All AI-generated suggestions, style descriptions, and any AI-created concept imagery are references and sources of inspiration only. They are not professional tattoo advice.

The licensed tattoo artist and studio you choose are the professionals who will make all final decisions about design, technique, placement, and execution. We are not a party to any agreement, booking, or transaction between you and any studio or artist. Any such arrangement is solely between you and the studio.

4. Accuracy disclaimer

Directory data (addresses, hours, phone numbers, services, and other studio details) is compiled from publicly available sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing. Always verify details directly with the studio before making an appointment or traveling to a location.

5. Listing claims and ownership verification

Studio owners may submit a claim to upgrade their listing. We verify that the person submitting the claim is authorized to manage the studio before publishing any upgrade or the Verified badge. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that contain inaccurate information, violate these Terms, or are the subject of a legitimate dispute.

6. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, copy, and original content (including tattoo flash artwork displayed on the Site) are owned by ColabContent LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Studio owners who have obtained a Verified listing may embed the Verified badge on their own website using the code snippet we provide. That snippet must include the link back to local-tattooshops.com as provided; the badge may not be modified or used in a way that misrepresents the verification status.

Photos and other materials uploaded by a studio owner during the claim process remain the property of that owner. By uploading them, you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant us a non-exclusive license to display them on the Site in connection with your listing.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in a listing claim or any form on the Site.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically download directory data without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure.
  • Use the MatchMarker tool for any purpose other than finding tattoo studios and artists for personal use.

8. No warranty / "as is"

The Site and all content and tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ColabContent LLC and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to reliance on directory information, AI-generated suggestions, or any transaction or interaction with a studio or artist you find through the Site. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed fifty United States dollars (USD $50.00).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ColabContent LLC and its members, officers, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version at this URL and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be indicated by a new date. Your continued use of the Site after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
